The Truly Privileged - Part 4

What does it mean to be truly equipped for the new life we have been called to live in Jesus Christ? Drawing from 1 Peter 2:9-10, this message continues to bring us face to face with an extraordinary reality: as believers, we have been given a full set of spiritual privileges, precious gifts from God, that are meant to be actively used, not left unopened. The passage lays out the final five of these twelve stunning divine gifts, including being set apart to Christ, purchased by Him, called out of darkness, shown saving mercy, and commissioned as heralds of His greatness. Each of these is not merely a theological idea but a living, breathing resource for navigating a world that is often harsh and hostile to faith. The parallel drawn between a wilderness survival challenge and the Christian life is striking. Just as contestants must use every tool at their disposal to endure extreme conditions, we too must learn to recognize and access the spiritual blessings already placed in our hands. The danger is not that these gifts can be lost or broken, but that we might live as though they do not exist at all. This message invites us to open what has already been given and to walk in the fullness of what it means to belong to Christ.
