Christ Is All
What does it mean to say our faith is not a blind leap in the dark? In 1 John 5:6-12, we encounter one of the most grounding and liberating truths in all of Scripture: our confidence in Jesus Christ does not rest on human opinion or personal feeling, but on the testimony of God Himself. This passage walks us through three powerful, historically anchored witnesses to the identity of Jesus as the Christ -- His baptism, His death, and the ongoing testimony of the Holy Spirit -- all of which agree and all of which flow from the same divine source. What emerges is a portrait of faith that is anything but fragile. It is a settled trust rooted in what God has objectively declared about His Son. For us as believers, this means we never have to wonder whether we are standing on solid ground. God has spoken. He has testified. And His testimony is greater than any word man could ever offer. As we explore this passage together, we are invited to ask ourselves not just whether we know these facts in our minds, but whether we have allowed them to anchor our hearts in the kind of peace and confidence that only Christ can provide.
